This is a complete setup guide for newcomers to TS3. How to join a server, or our clan server, will be covered in a separate thread.

Installing the Teamspeak 3 Client program on your PC

Installing the Teamspeak 3 Client program on your PC

Make sure that you download the correct version of the client program, either 32bit or 64bit.
After you click on the Free Download Button, you will be required to accept the
TeamSpeak 3.0 End User License Agreement (EULA). By clicking on the Accept
Button at the bottom of the form, you indicate your acceptance of the terms and

Once you have successfully download the necessary client file double click on it to start the installation and configuration process.

To continue, click the Next Button. This will open the TeamSpeak 3.0 End User License Agreement.

The next step in the Client Setup Wizard is to indicate who will be allowed to use
TeamSpeak 3.0 on this computer. If you share a computer with more than one
person and they should all be able to use it, stay with the default select of “Install for
anyone using this computer.” If you wish to restrict TeamSpeak to just yourself, click
the “Install just for me” radio button. When you are satisfied with your selection,
click the Next Button.

The next step is to select a location for TeamSpeak 3.0 on your computer. We highly
recommend that you simply accept the default location. But if you have organized
your computer in a certain manner and need to specify a different location, click on
the Browse Button to open a file explorer window where you can select the
location you would like to install TeamSpeak 3.0. Click the Next Button when you

click the Close Button. You can also click the Show Details Button to look at
specific information about the installation process.

Your nickname represents how you appear in the Channel List and Chat/Message

with your microphone:
· Voice Activation Detection—by selecting this setting, the software will
attempt to detect when you are speaking and activate/deactivate the
microphone accordingly

In this step of the Setup Wizard, you can specify two important key-bindings:
· Microphone Mute—when to place the microphone on mute. Note: if you try
and talk while the microphone is muted, TeamSpeak 3.0 will let you know with
a beep.
· Speaker Mute—when to mute the speakers. This can be useful when
someone enters the room, for example, that shouldn’t hear the conversation.
