Just starting this thread to discuss server problems and progression, a bit tricky like u said but I recon we can do it. Looks easier on Quake 1 would be cool to have a few Quake 1 games sometime. Anyway I am starting working on the Threewave now lets see how far we can get.

Kinda working now using default cfgs. What I did was copied all the cfg files from threewave/server folder to .q3 and changed ownership to user. Running the mod before this came up with errors carnt exec default.cfg carnt exec cctf.cfg

Just need to find the location of q3start16.aas says in terminal fatal: carnt find map/q3start16.aas The q3start16.bsp is in the pak00.pk folder in the mod. I loaded the mod onto my windows game machine and checked the dir structure. Pretty much the same as on the linux setup. Also not sure u can run bots on this mod. Game starts on ctf portal. Server shows up on gametracker but these terminal errors are bugging me. So I will try and figure out this start map issue.

Server is working real good. I forgot how cool a map Japanese castle is on CTF. By I do love the q1 nailgun get quad damage and its one devistating weapon. Great mod I love it. Hope to frag with u soon
