Well here is a bugger of a virus I had to get rid of on one of my windows machines. The latest virus definitions on Norton did not remove it, nor did the professional version of advanced systems care and malware removal. I edited the registry to remove all traces of Qone8 but as soon as you load a browser up comes the new start page courtesy of Qone8.com It monitors your browsing and takes you to pages you don't want and puts up poppers all the time for websites you have not requested. On top of which is really slows your machine down and its one pain in the butt.
The only way I could get rid of it without getting professionals to have a look at my machine and paying them a ridiculous sum of money was to get the files of the hard drive I needed and splat the drive. I created a 100gig partition and copied over my gaming files and my photographs, 22 gig of pictures of my daughter since the days of my wife's scan. Pictures you cannot replace.
I am convinced the virus came in whilst I was trying to unlock a spare iPhone 4s I was given. Basically, its best to pay for the service at a mobile company rather than doing it yourself. Jail-breaking a phone is only of use until the next upgrade.
Anyway, watch out for this virus and make sure your antivirus definitions are up to date. Above all don't install silly programs which guarantee to unlock mobile phones. If u need such software buy it from a company. Don't make the same mistake I did and try doing it yourself.
Qone8.com ----> is one hell of a virus and difficult to get rid off.
